Weak/non-swimmer
A weak or non-swimmer is defined as any child who does not meet the criteria of the ASA/ISRM Pool Swimming Standard Award.
Weak or non-swimmers are restricted to the designated non-swimmer areas of the pools, which are the small pool and the shallow end of the main pool.
Anyone with known medical conditions or accompanying anyone with medical conditions that may affect their safety should inform the lifeguard on duty.
Customers with epilepsy must be accompanied by a responsible adult (aged 16 and over) on a one-to-one basis. They should inform the lifeguard on duty.

Restricted items
Goggles- some types of goggles or face masks are not permitted
Use of masks which obscure the nose, as this may cause panic amongst untrained users, if they swallow water and find that they cannot breathe through their nose, this has resulted in accidents on a number of occasions with untrained and inexperienced users. Masks which fit over the face can restrict the vision of the user, often to a narrow channel immediately in front of them, this can cause accidents and injuries to other users in the pool when the wearer collides with them or causes them to take evasive action.
It can be difficult for lifeguards to communicate with swimmers wearing this type of mask
